The 25th Zegama-Aizkorri will be held on 17 May and pre-registration will open on 12 January for the marathon and 26 January for the KV and Junior Trail.

The Zegama-Aizkorri is taking shape on the horizon. The date has been set for the 25th edition of what is considered to be the most emblematic mountain marathon. It will take place on 17 May, when hundreds of fans will carry the runners through places that are already world landmarks such as the Sancti-Spiritu. The race, which scores for the Golden Trail World Series, will once again have 225 places available to be allocated by lottery.

Pre-registration for the coveted marathon bibs will open on 12 January at 12 noon via the Kronoak.com registration platform. For ten days, from 12 to 23 January, anyone who wants to participate can pre-register to be eligible for a marathon bib. From there, those who will be entered into the draw, those who have a bib for good time and those who have a direct bib for being from the town or having completed all editions will be distributed. On 26 January the period for the Vertical Kilometre and the Junior Trail (16-18 years old) will open. The draw for the bib numbers for the three races will take place on 20 February.

On 17 May 2026, the athletes who will take over from the winners of the 2026 edition will be announced: Sara Alonso,from San Sebastian, with a time of 4h27.25, managed to get rid of the thorn in her side from previous editions, and Moroccan Elhousine Elazzaoui (3h43.28) achieved his first victory in Zegama.
