The pre-registration period for taking part in the 23rd edition of the emblematic mountain marathon will open this coming Monday 15th January at 12:00 noon.

Pre-registrations will be open until 26 January and the draw will take place on 23 February.

The race breaks pre-registration records every year and for the 2023 edition a record 13,800 applications were received for the 225 places available.

On Monday 15th January, the period to apply for one of the most coveted bibs in the world of trail running will open: the bib to compete in the Zegama-Aizkorri, considered one of the most emblematic mountain marathons on the planet, which this year is once again a qualifying race for the Golden Trail World Series circuit. The pre-registration period will open at 12:00 noon and will close on 26 January via the rockthesport.com registration platform. The bib draw will take place on 23 February.

The Zegama-Aizkorri Mendi Maratoia 2024 will celebrate its 23rd edition on 26 May, when the world will once again be able to see how hundreds of fans will do the aisle and carry the athletes through legendary stages such as the climb through Sancti-Spiritu. The race breaks pre-registration records every year and in fact last year a record number of 13,800 applications were received for the 225 places available. This year those interested in pre-registering will have to pay a one euro administration fee.

Pre-registration for the Vertical Kilometre and the Junior Trail (16-20 years old) will open on 29 January. The Zegama-Aizkorri Vertical Kilometre 2024 will be the EMF-FVM Basque Country Vertical Kilometre Championship and will count towards the Euskal Herriko Kopa - Vertical Kilometre 2024 Euskal Herria Cup.
